Ingredients

  • 1 lb Fresh Sardines
  • 2 tbsp Coarse Sea Salt
  • 1 large Lemon

Instructions

  1. 1Rinse the 1 lb Fresh Sardines under cold water. Gently pat them completely dry with paper towels.
  2. 2Place the dried sardines on a clean surface. Sprinkle them evenly and generously with the 2 tbsp Coarse Sea Salt on all sides.
  3. 3Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. This is about 400°F to 450°F (200°C to 230°C).
  4. 4Carefully place the salted sardines on the preheated grill grates. Grill for 5 to 7 minutes per side. The sardines are done when they are opaque throughout, slightly charred, and flake easily with a fork. For fish, an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) is recommended.
  5. 5Remove the grilled sardines from the grill. Arrange them on a serving platter.
  6. 6Cut the 1 large Lemon into wedges. Serve the grilled sardines immediately with the lemon wedges for squeezing over the fish.
