Salmon Onigiri (Rice Balls)

Simple and portable salmon onigiri, perfect for a quick and healthy lunch. Flaked salmon is mixed with rice and formed into triangles, wrapped in nori seaweed.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cooked salmon
  • 4 cups Cooked sushi rice
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 4 sheets Nori seaweed sheets
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1Flake the cooked salmon and set aside.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine sushi rice, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  3. 3Divide the rice mixture into 4 equal portions.
  4. 4Wet your hands with water to prevent the rice from sticking.
  5. 5Place one portion of rice in your palm, flatten it slightly, and add a spoonful of flaked salmon in the center.
  6. 6Mold the rice around the salmon to form a triangle shape.
  7. 7Wrap each onigiri with a strip of nori seaweed and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
