Ingredients

  • 2 medium Apples
  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Almonds
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2Peel, remove the core, and cut the 2 medium apples into 1/2-inch cubes. In a medium bowl, toss the cubed apples with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar until evenly coated.
  3. 3Spread the coated apples in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the apples are softened and have a caramelized appearance.
  4. 4While the apples are roasting, combine the 1 cup of rolled oats and 2 cups of milk in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the oatmeal reaches your desired creamy consistency.
  5. 5Remove the oatmeal from the heat and stir in the 2 tablespoons of butter until melted and fully incorporated.
  6. 6Divide the creamy oatmeal among 4 serving bowls. Top each bowl with a generous portion of the roasted apples. Sprinkle the 1/4 cup of almonds over the apples and oatmeal.
  7. 7Serve the roasted apple and cinnamon oatmeal warm.
