Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Instant dry yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. 2Gradually add the warm water to the dry ingredients. Mix well until a smooth batter forms.
  3. 3Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. 4Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  5. 5Using a spoon, scoop portions of the batter and carefully drop them into the hot oil.
  6. 6Fry until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. 7Remove the puff puff from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. 8Serve warm.
