Platanos Maduros Asados (Roasted Sweet Plantains)

Ingredients

  • 4 Ripe Plantains
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2Peel the 4 ripe plantains. Carefully cut each plantain in half lengthwise.
  3. 3Brush the cut plantains evenly with the 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Then, sprinkle the 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon over all the plantain pieces.
  4. 4Arrange the seasoned plantains in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast them in the preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they are very soft when pierced with a fork and their edges appear golden brown and slightly caramelized.
  5. 5Serve the roasted plantains warm.
