Ingredients

  • 4 each Ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Rice flour
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the 4 ripe bananas and cut them in half lengthwise.
  2. 2In a medium bowl, combine the 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup rice flour, 2 tbsp sugar, and 1/4 tsp salt.
  3. 3Gradually whisk in the 1/2 cup water until you have a smooth batter with no lumps.
  4. 4Pour the 1 cup vegetable oil into a large, heavy-bottomed skillet or pot. Heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. 5Dip each banana half into the batter, making sure it is completely coated. Let any excess batter drip off.
  6. 6Carefully place the battered banana pieces into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet. Fry for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the batter is golden brown and crispy.
  7. 7Using a slotted spoon or tongs, remove the fried bananas from the oil. Place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Serve the Pisang Goreng warm.
