Ingredients

  • 4 medium Ripe Bananas
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Rice Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • For frying as needed Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the 4 medium ripe bananas and cut them in half lengthwise.
  2. 2In a medium bowl, combine the 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of rice flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  3. 3Gradually add the 1/2 cup of water to the dry ingredients while mixing, until you have a smooth batter with no lumps.
  4. 4Pour enough vegetable oil into a large skillet to reach a depth of about 1 inch. Heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. 5Dip each banana half into the batter, turning to coat all sides evenly.
  6. 6Carefully place the battered banana halves into the hot vegetable oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the batter is golden brown and crispy.
  7. 7Remove the fried bananas from the skillet using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  8. 8Serve the Pisang Goreng hot.
