Ingredients

  • 4 medium Ripe Bananas
  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/4 cup Tapioca Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the 4 medium ripe bananas and cut each one into two or three pieces. Set aside.
  2. 2In a medium bowl, combine the 1 cup of rice flour, 1/4 cup of tapioca flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Whisk them together until evenly mixed.
  3. 3Gradually pour in the 3/4 cup of water while whisking continuously. Keep whisking until you have a smooth batter with no lumps.
  4. 4Pour the 2 cups of vegetable oil into a large, heavy-bottomed pot or a deep fryer. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. 5Dip each banana piece into the smooth batter, making sure it is fully coated. Carefully place the battered banana pieces into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the batter is golden brown and crispy.
  6. 6Using a slotted spoon or tongs, remove the fried banana pieces from the hot oil. Place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  7. 7Serve the Pisang Goreng immediately while they are still hot and crispy.
