Ingredients

  • 4 Ripe Bananas
  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/2 cup Tapioca Starch
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • For frying Oil

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the 4 ripe bananas and cut each one in half lengthwise.
  2. 2In a medium bowl, whisk together the 1 cup of rice flour, the 1/2 cup of tapioca starch, the 2 tbsp of sugar, and the 1/4 tsp of salt.
  3. 3Gradually add the 1/2 cup of water to the dry ingredients, mixing with the whisk until you have a smooth batter with no lumps.
  4. 4Pour enough oil into a large skillet to come about 1 inch up the sides. Heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. 5Dip each banana half into the smooth batter, turning to coat all sides completely. Let any excess batter drip off for a moment.
  6. 6Carefully place the battered banana halves into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the batter is golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  7. 7Use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove the fried banana pieces from the oil. Place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any extra oil.
  8. 8Serve the Pisang Goreng warm.
