Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Ripe Bananas
  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 0.5 cup Tapioca Starch
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 0.75 cup Water
  • 2 cup Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine the 1 cup of rice flour, 0.5 cup of tapioca starch, 0.5 tsp of turmeric powder, and 0.25 tsp of salt.
  2. 2Gradually whisk in the 0.75 cup of water until you have a smooth batter with no lumps.
  3. 3Pour the 2 cups of vegetable oil into a large, heavy-bottomed pot or wok. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  4. 4Peel the 4 ripe bananas. Cut each banana in half lengthwise or into 1/2-inch thick slices.
  5. 5Dip each banana piece into the batter, turning to coat all sides evenly.
  6. 6Carefully place the battered banana pieces into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for 3-5 minutes, or until the fritters are golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  7. 7Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried banana fritters from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  8. 8Serve the Pisang Goreng warm.
