Ingredients

  • 1 block Firm Tofu, crumbled
  • 1/2 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 medium Tomato, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Scallions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 4 each Arepas

Instructions

  1. 1Press the tofu to remove excess water. Crumble the tofu into small pieces.
  2. 2Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. 3Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  4. 4Add crumbled tofu and turmeric powder. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the tofu is heated through and slightly browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. 5Stir in chopped tomato and scallions. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. 6Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the tomato is softened.
  7. 7Serve hot, with arepas on the side.
