Ingredients

  • 500 g Frozen French Fries
  • as needed Vegetable Oil
  • to taste Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sunflower Seed Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons Water
  • to taste Chopped Onions

Instructions

  1. 1Decide whether you will bake or deep-fry the fries. If baking, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If deep-frying, pour as needed Vegetable Oil into a large, heavy-bottomed pot to a depth of 3-4 inches, then heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2If baking, spread the 500 g Frozen French Fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy. If deep-frying, carefully add the 500 g Frozen French Fries to the hot oil; fry for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pot.
  3. 3While the fries are cooking, prepare the sunflower seed satay sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the 2 tablespoons Sunflower Seed Butter, 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce, and 1 teaspoon Honey until smooth.
  4. 4Gradually whisk in 1-2 tablespoons Water, a little at a time, into the sauce until it is smooth and reaches a drizzling consistency.
  5. 5Once the fries are cooked, carefully remove them from the oven or the hot oil using tongs or a slotted spoon. Transfer the fries to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  6. 6Arrange the hot 500 g Frozen French Fries on a serving plate or in a cone. Generously drizzle the fries with to taste Mayonnaise, followed by the prepared sunflower seed satay sauce, then sprinkle with to taste Chopped Onions. Serve immediately.
