Pan de Huevo (Dairy-Free Egg Bread)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp Instant yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 large Egg

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
  2. 2Add warm water, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. 5Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces.
  6. 6Roll each piece into a rope and shape it into a knot or other desired shape.
  7. 7Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. 8Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. 9Brush the bread with egg wash.
  10. 10Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
