Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cassava flour (tapioca flour)
  • 0.5 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Queso Campesino or feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Milk

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine the 1 cup of cassava flour, 0.5 cup of cornstarch, 1 cup of crumbled Queso Campesino or feta cheese, and 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Stir these dry ingredients together until they are well mixed.
  3. 3In a separate medium bowl, whisk the 1 large egg and 2 tablespoons of milk together until they are fully combined.
  4. 4Pour the whisked egg and milk mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly with your hands or a spoon until a smooth, cohesive dough forms.
  5. 5Take small portions of the dough and roll them between your palms to form balls, each approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter.
  6. 6Arrange the shaped dough balls on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper, leaving a small space between each one.
  7. 7Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the Pan de Bono are puffed up and golden brown on the outside. Carefully remove the Pan de Bono from the oven and serve them warm.
