Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pork Belly
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Aminos
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Five-Spice Powder

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the 1 lb of pork belly into 1-inch cubes.
  2. 2In a bowl, whisk together the 1/4 cup of coconut aminos, 2 tbsp of honey, 1 tbsp of rice vinegar, 1 tsp of ginger, 2 cloves of garlic, and 1/2 tsp of five-spice powder until well combined.
  3. 3Add the cut pork belly to the bowl with the marinade and toss to coat all the pieces. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or for up to 4 hours if you place it in the refrigerator.
  4. 4Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. 5Arrange the marinated pork belly in a single layer in a baking dish.
  6. 6Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
  7. 7Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake for an additional 15 minutes. The pork belly is done when it is caramelized and slightly crispy on the edges.
  8. 8Remove the baking dish from the oven and let the pork belly bites rest for 5 minutes before serving hot.
