Ingredients

  • 200 g Glutinous rice flour
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 120 ml Warm water
  • 150 g Mung bean paste
  • 1/2 cup Sesame seeds
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour and sugar.
  2. 2Gradually add warm water, stirring until a smooth and pliable dough forms.
  3. 3Divide the dough into small pieces and flatten each piece in your palm.
  4. 4Place a small amount of mung bean paste in the center of each dough piece.
  5. 5Fold the dough around the filling and roll into a ball.
  6. 6Wet the sesame seeds and place them in a shallow dish.
  7. 7Roll each ball in the sesame seeds, ensuring they are fully coated.
  8. 8Heat vegetable oil in a deep saucepan or fryer to 300°F (150°C).
  9. 9Fry the sesame balls for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and floating. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  10. 10Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
