Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Grated nagaimo yam
  • 4 cups Shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup Scallions
  • 8 oz Protein of choice
  • 1/4 cup Okonomiyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup Vegan mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, soy sauce, and nagaimo yam.
  2. 2Add the shredded cabbage and scallions to the batter and mix well.
  3. 3Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. 4Pour 1/4 of the batter into the skillet to form a pancake. Top with your choice of protein.
  5. 5Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. 6Transfer the okonomiyaki to a plate and top with okonomiyaki sauce and vegan mayonnaise.
  7. 7Serve immediately.
