Nut-Free Tatale (Plantain Pancakes)

Ingredients

  • 3 medium Ripe Plantains
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 medium Onion
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the plantains and mash them in a bowl until smooth.
  2. 2Add flour, grated onion, ginger, and salt to the mashed plantains. Mix well to combine.
  3. 3Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. 4Drop spoonfuls of the plantain mixture into the hot oil and flatten them slightly to form pancakes.
  5. 5Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  6. 6Remove the tatale from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. 7Serve warm as a snack.
