Ingredients

  • 4 sheets Dried Wide Rice Noodle Sheets
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce (Nut-Free)
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Paste (Optional)
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds, toasted

Instructions

  1. 1Place the 4 sheets Dried Wide Rice Noodle Sheets in a large bowl and cover them with warm water. Let them soak for 5 to 10 minutes, or until they are soft and pliable.
  2. 2Carefully take each softened rice noodle sheet and gently roll it up. Once rolled, use a sharp knife to cut each roll into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch long.
  3. 3Arrange the cut rice noodle pieces in a single layer in a steamer basket. Steam over boiling water for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the pieces are heated through and slightly translucent.
  4. 4While the rice noodle pieces are steaming, prepare the sweet sauce. Combine the 1/2 cup Water, 2 tbsp Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce (Nut-Free), and 1 tbsp Sugar in a small saucepan. Heat this mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the 1 tbsp Sugar is completely dissolved and the sauce just begins to thicken slightly, about 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in the 1 tsp Sesame Oil.
  5. 5Carefully remove the steamed rice noodle pieces from the steamer. Arrange the warm noodle pieces on a serving plate.
  6. 6Drizzle the prepared sweet sauce generously over the arranged rice noodle pieces. If you like a spicy flavor, stir in the 1/2 tsp Chili Paste (Optional) into the sauce before drizzling, or add it directly onto the noodles.
  7. 7Sprinkle the 1 tsp Sesame Seeds, toasted over the top of the dish as a garnish. Serve immediately while warm.
