Nagasari (Steamed Banana Cake)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/4 cup Tapioca Flour
  • 2 cups Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 medium Ripe Bananas
  • 2 small Pandan Leaves

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, mix the rice flour, tapioca flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. 2Gradually add the coconut milk, stirring until smooth. Ensure there are no lumps.
  3. 3Cut the bananas into slices.
  4. 4Grease a steaming pan or molds. Place a piece of pandan leaf at the bottom of each mold (optional).
  5. 5Pour a layer of the rice flour mixture into the pan or molds. Arrange banana slices on top.
  6. 6Pour the remaining rice flour mixture over the bananas.
  7. 7Steam for about 30 minutes, or until the cake is firm and cooked through.
  8. 8Let it cool slightly before serving. Cut into slices or remove from molds.
