Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Popcorn Kernels
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Place the 0.5 cup Popcorn Kernels into an air popper. Turn on the air popper and cook for 3-5 minutes, until the popping sounds slow down significantly with 2-3 seconds between pops.
  2. 2While the popcorn is popping, measure the 2 tbsp Olive Oil into a small saucepan. Place the saucepan over low heat, approximately 200°F (95°C), and warm the oil for 1 minute.
  3. 3Add the 1 tsp Cumin, 0.5 tsp Turmeric, 0.5 tsp Paprika, and 0.5 tsp Salt to the warm olive oil in the saucepan. Stir gently with a spoon for 1 minute, until the spices become fragrant and are fully combined with the oil, being careful not to let them burn.
  4. 4Once the popcorn is fully popped, transfer it to a large bowl. Carefully drizzle the warm spiced oil mixture from the saucepan evenly over the popped popcorn. Gently toss the popcorn in the bowl until all pieces are evenly coated.
  5. 5Serve the Moroccan-Spiced Popcorn immediately.
