Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb Firm white fish (cod, snapper), cut into chunks
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 medium Bell pepper (red or yellow), chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 medium Tomato, chopped
  • 1 can Coconut milk
  • 3 tbsp Dendê oil (palm oil)
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Marinate the shrimp and fish with lime juice, salt, and pepper for 15 minutes.
  2. 2In a large pot, sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic in dendê oil until softened.
  3. 3Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. 4Stir in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer.
  5. 5Gently add the marinated seafood to the pot.
  6. 6Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.
  7. 7Stir in fresh cilantro before serving.
