Ingredients

  • 1 lb Malanga (Taro)
  • 1/4 cup Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour (Gluten-Free)
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice

Instructions

  1. 1Peel and grate the malanga. Squeeze out any excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine the grated malanga, onion, garlic, gluten-free flour, water, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. 4Drop spoonfuls of the malanga mixture into the hot oil and flatten slightly.
  5. 5Fry the fritters until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. 6Remove the fritters with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
