  • 2 cups Beaten Corn Flakes (Makaiko Chiura)
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. 1Place a 10-inch non-stick skillet over medium heat. Let the skillet heat for 1 minute.
  2. 2Add the 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the heated skillet. Let the oil heat for 30 seconds until it shimmers.
  3. 3Add the 2 cups of beaten corn flakes to the skillet. Stir them constantly with a spoon for 2 to 3 minutes, until they look slightly more golden and feel a little crisp to the touch.
  4. 4Sprinkle the 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt over the corn flakes.
  5. 5Continue to stir the corn flakes for 1 more minute, ensuring the spices are evenly distributed and the corn flakes are fully coated.
  6. 6Remove the skillet from the heat. The Makaiko Chiura is ready to serve immediately.
