Körtés Pite (Pear Tart)

Ingredients

  • 200 g All-purpose flour
  • 100 g Unsalted butter
  • 50 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 large Egg yolk
  • 2-3 tbsp Cold water
  • 3 medium Pears (ripe, but firm)
  • 50 g Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine flour and powdered sugar.
  3. 3Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. 4Stir in egg yolk and gradually add cold water until a dough forms.
  5. 5Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
  6. 6Peel, core, and slice the pears.
  7. 7Roll out the dough and place it in a tart pan.
  8. 8Arrange the pear slices on top of the dough.
  9. 9Sprinkle with granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  10. 10Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the pears are tender.
