Korean Sweet Potato Latte (Goguma Latte)

Ingredients

  • 1 medium Sweet potato, peeled and cubed
  • 2 cups Milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cinnamon powder

Instructions

  1. 1Place the 1 medium sweet potato, peeled and cubed, into a steamer basket over a pot of boiling water. Cover and steam for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the sweet potato cubes are easily pierced with a fork.
  2. 2Carefully transfer the steamed sweet potato cubes into a blender. Add the 2 cups of milk and the 1 tablespoon of honey to the blender.
  3. 3Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed for 30 to 60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. 4Pour the smooth mixture from the blender into a medium saucepan. Place the saucepan over medium heat.
  5. 5Heat the mixture, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 5 minutes, or until it is warmed through. Do not let it boil.
  6. 6Carefully pour the warm mixture into two mugs. Sprinkle the 0.25 teaspoon of cinnamon powder evenly over the top of each mug before serving.
