Ingredients

  • 1 cup Glutinous Rice Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Tapioca Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Pandan Extract
  • 3/4 cup Warm Water
  • 1/2 cup Palm Sugar
  • 1 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Mix the glutinous rice flour and tapioca flour in a bowl. Add pandan extract and gradually add warm water until a smooth, pliable dough forms.
  2. 2Pinch off small pieces of dough and flatten them. Place a small amount of palm sugar in the center.
  3. 3Fold the dough around the palm sugar, forming a ball. Ensure the sugar is completely sealed.
  4. 4Bring a pot of water to a boil. Gently drop the rice balls into the boiling water.
  5. 5Cook until the rice balls float to the surface, indicating they are cooked through.
  6. 6Remove the rice balls and immediately roll them in grated coconut mixed with salt.
  7. 7Serve immediately while the palm sugar is still molten.
