Khameer Bread with Date Syrup (Nut-Free)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Instant yeast
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup Warm water
  • 1/4 cup Date syrup
  • 2 tbsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. 2Add vegetable oil and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. 5Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. 6Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each into a disc.
  7. 7Brush with a little water and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. 8Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. 9Serve warm with date syrup.
