Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cashews
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Place a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, which is approximately 300-350°F (150-175°C). Allow the skillet to warm for 1 minute.
  2. 2Add the 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to the warm skillet. Once the oil has melted and is shimmering, add the 1 cup of cashews.
  3. 3Roast the 1 cup of cashews for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring them frequently with a spoon. Continue cooking until the cashews are lightly golden brown and you can smell them toasting.
  4. 4Add the 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the skillet with the cashews.
  5. 5Immediately and continuously stir the cashews and spices together for 2 to 3 minutes, ensuring the cashews are evenly coated. Continue cooking until the spices smell fragrant.
  6. 6Remove the 10-inch skillet from the heat. Allow the deviled cashews to cool in the skillet for at least 5 minutes before serving; this step allows the spices to set and the cashews to reach a safe temperature for eating.
