Keto Fisherman's Soup (Halászlé)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Mixed fish (carp, catfish, perch)
  • 2 large Onion
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper
  • 2 medium Tomato
  • 1 tbsp Hot paprika
  • 2 tbsp Sweet paprika
  • 6 cups Fish broth
  • 2 tbsp Bacon fat
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the fish into large chunks. Chop the onions, bell pepper, and tomatoes.
  2. 2Heat bacon fat in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the bell pepper and cook for another 3 minutes.
  3. 3Stir in the hot and sweet paprika, then add the tomatoes and cook for a few minutes until they break down.
  4. 4Add the fish chunks and fish broth. Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook for 45-60 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the flavors have melded.
  5. 5Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
