Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork ribs
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce (tamari)
  • 1/4 cup Rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Swerve (or other keto sweetener)
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Ginger
  • 1 tsp Five-spice powder
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • few drops Red food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, whisk together the 1/2 cup soy sauce (tamari), 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 3 tablespoons Swerve (or other keto sweetener), 4 cloves garlic (minced), 2 tablespoons ginger (grated), 1 teaspoon five-spice powder, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, and a few drops of red food coloring (optional) until well combined.
  2. 2Place the 2 lbs pork ribs into a large resealable bag or container. Pour the marinade mixture over the ribs, making sure they are completely coated. Seal the bag or container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  3. 3Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  4. 4Remove the ribs from the marinade and place them in a baking dish. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are very tender when pierced with a fork.
  5. 5Carefully remove the foil from the baking dish. Increase the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  6. 6Return the uncovered ribs to the oven and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and caramelized on the ribs.
  7. 7Serve the Keto Chinese BBQ Ribs hot.
