Keto Bak Kut Teh (Pork Rib Broth)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork Ribs
  • 8 cups Water
  • 10 Garlic (whole cloves, unpeeled)
  • 3 Star Anise
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 tbsp White Peppercorns
  • 1 tsp Black Peppercorns
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Blanch the pork ribs in boiling water for 5 minutes to remove impurities. Drain and rinse.
  2. 2In a large pot, combine the blanched pork ribs, water, garlic cloves, star anise, cinnamon stick, white peppercorns, and black peppercorns.
  3. 3Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for at least 1.5 hours, or until the pork ribs are tender.
  4. 4Add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and salt to taste.
  5. 5Serve hot, garnishing with additional peppercorns if desired.
