Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork Ribs (Spare Ribs)
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp White Peppercorns
  • 3 Star Anise
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1/2 tsp Cloves
  • 6 Dried Shiitake Mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Aminos
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 8 cups Water

Instructions

  1. 1Blanch the pork ribs in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and rinse thoroughly.
  2. 2In a large pot, combine the blanched pork ribs, garlic, white peppercorns, star anise, cinnamon stick, cloves, shiitake mushrooms, coconut aminos, salt, and water.
  3. 3Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for at least 2 hours, or until the pork is very tender.
  4. 4Serve hot. The broth can be enjoyed on its own or with added vegetables like bok choy.
