Kaszanka with Apple and Onion (Paleo Style)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Pork
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 2 medium Onion
  • 2 medium Apple
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Marjoram
  • 0.5 teaspoon Allspice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Aminos

Instructions

  1. 1In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, reserving bacon fat in the skillet.
  2. 2Add diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened and caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  3. 3Add diced apple to the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes, until slightly softened.
  4. 4Add ground pork, marjoram, allspice, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until browned.
  5. 5Stir in coconut aminos and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. 6Crumble cooked bacon over the mixture and serve hot.
