Kaszanka Bites with Apple & Onion

Bite-sized portions of Polish kaszanka (blood sausage) sautéed with sweet apple and onion, served on gluten-free crackers. A delicious and easy appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Kaszanka (blood sausage)
  • 1 medium Apple
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 16 crackers Gluten-free crackers
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. 1Peel and dice the apple and onion.
  2. 2Remove the kaszanka from its casing and crumble it into a bowl.
  3. 3Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. 4Add the onion and apple to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  5. 5Add the crumbled kaszanka to the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. 6Spoon the kaszanka mixture onto gluten-free crackers.
  7. 7Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
