Kalua Pig (Slow Cooker)

Ingredients

  • 5 lb Pork Shoulder (Boston Butt)
  • 2 tablespoons Hawaiian Sea Salt (or coarse sea salt)
  • 1 tablespoon Liquid Smoke
  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions

  1. 1Rub the pork shoulder generously with Hawaiian sea salt and liquid smoke.
  2. 2Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker. Add water to the bottom.
  3. 3Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, or until the pork is very tender and easily pulls apart.
  4. 4Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.
  5. 5Serve the shredded pork on Hawaiian rolls or with rice and poi (if available).
