Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.75 cups Dairy-free buttermilk
  • 4 tablespoons Dairy-free butter, softened
  • 4 tablespoons Jam

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. 3Make a well in the center and pour in dairy-free buttermilk. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. 4Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and shape into a round loaf.
  5. 5Cut a cross into the top of the loaf.
  6. 6Place the loaf on a baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. 7Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve with dairy-free butter and jam.
