  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 cup Dairy-free milk (e.g., soy milk)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons Dairy-free butter, cold and cubed

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  3. 3Cut in the cold dairy-free butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. 4In a separate small bowl, combine dairy-free milk and lemon juice. Let sit for a minute to curdle slightly.
