Ingredients

  • 4 fillets Salted Herring Fillets
  • 1.5 lbs Potatoes
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Dill
  • 1/4 medium Red Onion
  • 2 tablespoons Sunflower Oil

Instructions

  1. 1Place the 1.5 lbs Potatoes in a large heavy-bottomed pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender. Drain the potatoes and let them cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
  2. 2While the potatoes are cooling, slice the 4 fillets Salted Herring Fillets into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch wide.
  3. 3Cut the slightly cooled 1.5 lbs Potatoes into bite-sized pieces, similar in size to the herring pieces.
  4. 4Finely chop the 1/4 cup Fresh Dill and the 1/4 medium Red Onion.
  5. 5Arrange the bite-sized potato pieces and the bite-sized herring pieces on a serving plate.
  6. 6Evenly sprinkle the chopped 1/4 cup Fresh Dill and the chopped 1/4 medium Red Onion over the potatoes and herring.
  7. 7Drizzle the 2 tablespoons Sunflower Oil over the entire dish.
  8. 8Serve immediately.
