Ingredients

  • 1 lb Smoked Ham, cubed
  • 2 tbsp Tapioca Flour
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1In a medium bowl, combine the 1 lb of Smoked Ham, cubed, with the 2 tbsp of Tapioca Flour, 1 tsp of Paprika, 1/2 tsp of Garlic Powder, and 1/4 tsp of Black Pepper. Toss everything together until the ham cubes are evenly coated.
  2. 2Place a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the 1 tbsp of Olive Oil to the skillet. Heat the oil until it shimmers, which should take about 1 minute. This is approximately 375°F (190°C).
  3. 3Carefully add the coated ham cubes to the hot skillet. Make sure the ham cubes are in a single layer and do not overlap. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes without moving them.
  4. 4Flip the ham cubes over. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes on the other side. The ham cubes are done when they are golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  5. 5Use a slotted spoon to remove the ham cubes from the skillet. Place the cooked ham cubes onto a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any extra oil. Let them rest for 1 minute.
  6. 6Serve the Gluten-Free Schinkenwürfel warm or at room temperature.
