Ingredients

  • 1 lb Flank steak
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Tamari (gluten-free)
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 stalks Scallions

Instructions

  1. 1Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain.
  2. 2Toss the chicken slices with cornstarch.
  3. 3Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  4. 4Add the chicken and stir-fry until browned and cooked through.
  5. 5Remove the flank steak from the skillet and set aside.
  6. 6Add garlic and ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. 7Add brown sugar, tamari, and water to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. 8Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  9. 9Garnish with scallions and serve hot with rice.
