Ingredients

  • 2 cups Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend
  • 0.5 cup Potato Starch
  • 2 tsp Instant Yeast
  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 cups Sunflower Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 0.5 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine the 2 cups Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend, 0.5 cup Potato Starch, 2 tsp Instant Yeast, 1 tsp Salt, and 1 tsp Sugar.
  2. 2Add the 1 cup Warm Water and 2 tbsp Olive Oil to the dry ingredients. Mix with a spoon or your hands until a sticky dough forms. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm place for 30 minutes, or until the dough has doubled in size.
  3. 3While the dough is rising, prepare the garlic sauce. Mince the 4 cloves Garlic. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic with the 0.5 cup Sour Cream and 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
  4. 4Pour the 2 cups Sunflower Oil into a large, heavy-bottomed pot. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. 5Once the oil is hot, use wet hands to pinch off small pieces of the risen dough, about the size of a golf ball. Gently stretch each piece into an oval shape, about 2 inches wide.
  6. 6Carefully place the stretched dough pieces into the hot sunflower oil, one at a time, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Fry the dough for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and crispy all over.
  7. 7Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried lángos bites from the hot oil. Place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  8. 8Serve the hot lángos bites immediately, spooning the prepared garlic sauce over the top.
