Ingredients

  • 2 cup Dried Fava Beans
  • 8 cup Water
  • 4 clove Garlic
  • 1/4 cup Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 4 piece Gluten-Free Flatbread

Instructions

  1. 1Soak the fava beans in water overnight.
  2. 2Drain the soaked fava beans and place them in a large pot. Cover with 8 cups of fresh water.
  3. 3Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1-2 hours, or until the beans are very tender.
  4. 4Mash some of the beans with a fork to create a creamy texture.
  5. 5Stir in minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. 6Simmer for another 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. 7Serve hot with gluten-free flatbread.
