Ingredients

  • 1 cup Barley Flour
  • 3 cups Water
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Berbere Spice Blend
  • 4 tablespoons Oil

Instructions

  1. 1In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  2. 2Slowly whisk in barley flour, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  3. 3Add salt and reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 20 minutes, or until the porridge is thick and smooth.
  4. 4While the porridge is cooking, heat oil in a small pan.
  5. 5Add berbere spice blend and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
  6. 6To serve, spoon the porridge into bowls and drizzle with the berbere-infused oil.
