Gamja Jorim (Braised Potatoes)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Small potatoes
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Mirin (sweet rice wine)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1Wash and scrub potatoes. If using larger potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2In a pot or pan, combine soy sauce, sugar, mirin, and water.
  3. 3Add potatoes and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and the sauce has thickened.
  4. 4Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. 5Stir in sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve warm or cold.
