Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Egyptian flatbread (Aish Baladi) or pita bread
  • 4 tbsp Dukkah
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1Place the 4 pieces of Egyptian flatbread or pita bread into a toaster set to medium heat, or into a dry skillet over medium heat (350°F / 175°C). Warm them for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are slightly heated through and pliable. You want them warm, not crispy.
  2. 2Using a pastry brush, lightly coat one side of each of the 4 pieces of warmed flatbread with the 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  3. 3Generously sprinkle the dukkah over the oiled side of each flatbread. Ensure an even coating.
  4. 4Serve the Egyptian Bread with Dukkah immediately while the flatbread is still warm.
