Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 tbsp Potato Starch
  • 2 tbsp Cold Water
  • 1.5 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 6 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 leaves Bay Leaf
  • 2 tbsp Dill
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Prepare the pelmeni dough: Mix flour and water. Knead until smooth. Let rest for 20 minutes.
  2. 2Prepare the filling: Mix ground beef, grated onion, potato starch, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3Roll out the dough thinly. Cut into small circles. Place a small amount of filling in the center of each circle. Fold and pinch to seal.
  4. 4Bring beef broth to a boil in a large pot. Add bay leaf.
  5. 5Gently drop pelmeni into the boiling broth. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until they float to the surface and are cooked through.
  6. 6Stir in fresh dill. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
