Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sticky rice (sweet rice)
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) Coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Mung bean paste
  • 2 tbsp Fried shallots
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1Soak sticky rice in water for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  2. 2Drain the rice and place it in a steamer lined with cheesecloth.
  3. 3Mix coconut milk, sugar, and salt in a bowl and pour over the rice.
  4. 4Steam for 30-40 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and sticky.
  5. 5Fluff the rice with a fork and transfer to serving bowls.
  6. 6Top with mung bean paste, fried shallots, and sesame seeds.
