Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Plant-Based Milk (Soy or Almond)
  • 1 1/2 cups Maple Syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups Water

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, vegetable oil, apple cider vinegar, vanilla extract, and plant-based milk.
  4. 4Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. 5In a saucepan, combine the maple syrup and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  6. 6Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  7. 7Pour the simmering maple syrup mixture over the batter.
  8. 8Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
