Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Applesauce
  • 1/2 cup Coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Molasses
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. 2In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, combine applesauce, coconut oil, brown sugar, molasses, and water. Mix well.
  4. 4Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. 5Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. 6Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
